1. What can I donate?

a. We accept most vehicles including trucks, trailers, boats, motorcycles and RV’s.

2. My car hasn’t run in years. Can I still donate it?

a. Yes, we are able to accept most vehicles running or not (exceptions include vehicles missing motors or fire damaged vehicles). To schedule an appointment please submit our online donation form.

3. What if my car didn’t pass a smog test?

a. Even if it failed, we are happy to accept it.

4. Is there any expense involved on my part such as towing charges?

a. No, there is no cost to donate your vehicle to one of our charities.

5. What do I need to donate my vehicle?

a. We would like the title to the vehicle, but if you do not have it please call us anyway. We are able to accommodate most donors with missing paperwork. Please call us at 1-866-666-7674 seven days a week.

6. How will my car be picked up?

a. We will arrange to have your vehicle towed away by a representative of Desert View Auto Auctions. We are a fully licensed, bonded and insured tow company.

7. How long will it take to pick up my car?

a. We will arrange for a pickup within 24-48 hours at the latest. If you need your car picked up sooner, please let us know as we are oftentimes able to accommodate a same day pickup.

8. Is my donation tax deductible?

a. Yes, vehicle and vessel donations made to bona fide charitable organizations are tax deductible to the full extent of the law. We have verified that all charities listed within this site are classified with the IRS as non-profit charitable organizations. However, individual tax situations vary so please check with a tax professional to determine what, if any tax benefit you may receive from a tax deductible donation.

9. How much will I receive as a tax deduction for my car?

a. The IRS allows you to claim a tax deduction of:
   i. The value of your vehicle up to $500 or
   ii. The amount we sell your vehicle for (if it is greater than $500)
